St John’s is a ‘Church of
England’ church serving Broadbridge Heath and the Hill Farm area on the West
side of Horsham. It is part of the Parish of Horsham, which consists of five
Anglican churches that together serve most of Horsham.
The vision of St
John¹s Church
Our vision is to be a church that upholds the five key
purposes of the church described in Acts Chapter 2:
-
Worship: encountering
God's presence.
-
Fellowship: deepening our
friendships with each other.
-
Discipleship: growing in
Christian faith.
-
Serving: working together
to serve as a team.
-
Evangelism: reaching out
to others with the love of Christ.

Children and Young
People at St John's
At our morning services, after a short time of
all-age worship, children go to their own groups to play and learn together.
They then rejoin the adults for Communion or a further time of all-age
worship near the end of the service.
There are groups for children of all ages:
Crèche - for 0 - 2 years olds
Jackets - for 2 - 5 year olds
Jacks - for 5 - 9 year olds
Discoverers - for 9 - 11 year olds
Pathfinders - for 11 - 14 year olds.
CYFA - for 14+ (not 3rd Sunday)
The CYFA group also meets during the week on alternate Tuesday evenings.
Men's Breakfasts
A chance to meet with other men
from the church for fellowship, teaching and prayer. Saturdays once a
month.
Contact Michael Bell tel. +44 (0)1403 262242 for details.
Welcome Suppers
Every so often, we aim to have
a Welcome Supper – an opportunity for newcomers to meet each other and other
members of the church in an informal way.
St John’s Summer Camp
Each year, at the beginning of
July, a large number of the church family spend a weekend together at Pondfield
Farm, just outside Broadbridge Heath. A good number of folk camp there
overnight, while others visit for one or both days. There are a number of
activities for all ages during the weekend and it is always one of the
highlights of our year.
Check It Out
A course for those interested
in finding out more about Christianity…no strings attached!
