St Mark's is a Church of England church serving North Horsham. It is part of the parish of Horsham which consists of five Anglican churches covering the whole of Horsham. St Mark's used to be in the centre of the town before a new church was built on North Heath Lane in 1990. I hope that this page will give you a flavour of what happens at St Mark's. We warmly invite you to any of the services or activities described below. You will be most welcome !

Sunday Services

At present there are two Holy Communion services at 8am and 10.00am every Sunday, except the third Sunday of the month when the 10.00am service is a Family Service.

Junior Church

During the 10.00am Holy Communion service there are different age group activities for the children: Crèche 0-3 years, Scramblers 3-5 years, Climbers 5-7 years, Explorers 7-11 years and Pathfinders 11-13 years. Parents are expected to be in church for safety reasons, if their children are in Junior Church.

Pastoral Groups

Most people at St Mark's belong to a pastoral group of about twenty people through which we can more effectively care for each other as a church.

Home Groups

Each pastoral group includes a home group which meets fortnightly for a time of prayer and Bible study.

Prayer

The church prayer meeting is held on Mondays from 7-7.30pm. There is also a monthly prayer diary available for use at home and a prayer triplet scheme for those who want to be involved.

Alpha

Alpha is a short practical introduction to the Christian faith and meets every week for ten weeks. Each evening begins with supper and includes a talk and an opportunity to discuss and study the Bible.

Newcomers' Suppers

These are held at St Mark's House once a quarter as an opportunity for newcomers to meet each other and find out more about St Mark's.

Mini-Mark's

This is a mid-week activity for children under 5 years and their carers, held on the third Wednesday of each month 12.30 - 2pm in the Church Hall. It begins with a ploughman's lunch and then there is a time of story/prayer/activity for the children.
